Use of miconazole nitrate

1) Vulvar vaginal candidiasis: It is an infection caused by Candida albicans in the vagina associated with an itchy rash of the vulva. Micogel cream causes increased cellular permeability of the fungus and causes leakage of contents and thereby inhibits the fungal growth.

2) Nail infections: Micogel is also used to treat certain nail infections like paronychia. It acts by preventing the growth of fungi and increasing cellular permeability.

How does Micogel work?

  • It helps in preventing the formation of a fungal cell membrane and weakening it, thereby killing the fungi.
